RIBI Young Photographer Competition

More success in the RIBI Young Photographer Competition this year

Every year the British Legion run a national photography competition for young people, RIBI Young Photographer Competition. The theme changes each year with this year’s theme being “Reflections”.

19 students from Severn Vale entered the competition with enrties in both the intermediate and senior category. The judging took place at Hardwicke British Legion Club in Green Lane, on Tuesday. The judges were stunned by the standard in all age groups and took ages to come to a conclusion.

Severn Vale once again enjoyed considerable success. Charlotte Nock won the senior category with 'Hole in the ground', and will go through to the district stage of the competition. The runner up was Holly Robinson, with an untitled piece.

Charlotte Murden won the intermediate category with 'Champagne Sunset', and will go through to the district stage of the competition. The runner up was Niamh Meredith with 'Forest Reflections'.
