More Table Tennis success for Olly Tyndall

Severn Vale student Olly Tyndall wins the  Gloucestershire Schools Individual table tennis championship for the third year in a row.

 

The Gloucestershire Schools Individual table tennis championships were held at Waterwells on Saturday 9thJanuary 2016. Severn Vale student Olly Tyndall was among the 47 competitors in the event

Olly’s category, the boys U16s, was the largest event of the tournament, and involved 20 players split into 5 groups of 4. All 4 seeded players progressed to the semi-final stage with relative ease. The first seeing Olly beat Marcus Holba (Marling) & Shrey Bhardwaj (Pates) Owen Havard (Chosen Hill). The final saw Olly victorious for the 3rd year running in this age group.

Olly will now go through to represent Gloucestershire at the English Schools National Finals at Aldersley Leisure Village, Wolverhampton on 23rd April 2016.  We wish him every success.
