Year 10 students tackle the LAMDA exams

On Saturday 27th June, three Year 10 students from Severn Vale took their LAMDA Grade 6 (Bronze Medal) exam. Ophelia Embling, Amy Heywood and Freddie Walker had each worked on two performance pieces (one classical, one contemporary) in extra-curricular sessions for 6 months, which culminated in the external examination in Cheltenham. They worked extremely hard on their performances and produced some fantastic scenes, which will hopefully be reflected in the results they receive over the summer.

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) is one of the most prestigious Drama Schools in the country, counting amongst its alumni the likes of Harriet Walter, Jim Broadbent and Benedict Cumberbatch. In addition to their esteemed degree courses, they offer a range of qualifications in communication and performance subjects for younger people, earning them a performance qualification recognised by UCAS.
