Year 9 Languages Trip
On Tuesday 14th July, 12 of our Year 9 students travelled to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester to attend the national More Than Words event, which promotes the many benefits of language learning.
Throughout the day, students enjoyed a range of inspiring talks showcasing how language skills can open doors to exciting careers. Speakers highlighted the importance of languages in diverse sectors including the football industry, the police force and social media, demonstrating the real-world value of multilingualism.
Students then enjoyed lunch with a fantastic view overlooking the stadium before taking part in an afternoon of interactive quizzes and a multilingual talent show.
The trip was a wonderful opportunity for our students to broaden their horizons, gain insight into future career pathways and celebrate the importance of languages in an increasingly connected world. We are so very proud of the enthusiasm and engagement shown by all who attended.
