Our Year 9 rugby team acquitted themselves well in the annual Rugby 7s tournament in Monmouth

For the second year running, Severn Vale entered a team in the annual Rugby 7s tournament held at Monmouth Comprehensive School. This is a very competitive event, playing teams who have a lot more 7s experience.

On a glorious late spring day, our Year 9s acquitted themselves well. In a tough group, with both the eventual winners and runners up, they finishing third. They then defeated the hosts 15 - 10 in a tense, hard fought semi-final to progress to the Plate final. Here, they came up against a strong Newbridge team and were narrowly beaten 25 - 15.

Throughout the event the boys demonstrated an excellent attitude and represented the school superbly.
