Christmas Card Competition

As a school we were asked by Richard Graham MP to design the Christmas card he would be sending out this year.

As a school we were asked by Richard Graham MP to design the Christmas card he would be sending out this year. Our Art department took up the challenge and launched a competition with our students. The challenge for the students was not only to design an attractive card but to try to ensure the card had a “Quedgeley” theme to it.

A large number of entries were received and these were whittled down to a short-list of 15. On the day of judging Mr Graham was joined by the Mayor of Gloucester, Debbie Llewellyn, to help him make the final decision.

The standard was high and the judging difficult but in the end the winner was identified. This picture will appear on the front of the card. Two runners up were also identified; their pictures will appear on the inside front cover of the card. Given the high standards seen, six highly other students were highly commended.
