Request for Absence during Term
In line with Gloucestershire County Council’s attendance strategy it is the policy at Severn Vale School not to authorise any holiday in term time except in very exceptional circumstances. There is very clear evidence to show that time off school disrupts the continuity of a student’s learning and has a significant impact on their ability to achieve their target levels and grades.
Should you wish to take your child out of school please complete the form below and return it to school for the attention of our Attendance Improvement Manager. The form can also be emailed to the school, if that is more convenient. The form must be completed and returned to school at least two weeks before the planned absence.
