Grade F point 6 – 12 £19,698 - £22,183 (Full-time equivalent), per annum, qualified

Grade D point 3 – 6 £18,562 - £19,698 (Full-time equivalent) per annum, unqualified



Severn Vale School is an Academy which provides an inclusive secondary education for students aged 11-16, that delivers strong student outcomes through high quality teaching and outstanding pastoral care.  The school is proud of its inclusive credentials and, in an area that has retained selection, subscribe instinctively to the comprehensive ideal. We are a popular and over-subscribed 11-16 academy currently undergoing an exciting build project to enable an increase in pupil admission numbers from 235 to 265 on entry, which will increase the school size from 1175 to 1325 over five years.   


We are seeking to recruit either a qualified or unqualified teaching assistant to work within our SEN Department.  If you are unqualified, and wish to progress, we may be able to assist you in gaining a recognised qualification. 


The roles are to support students with a variety of educational, behavioural and physical needs.  The role will be term time only (39 weeks per year), 25 to 32.5 hours per week (please specify your preferred hours on your application).


We are looking for an individual who is looking to make a difference and has the ability to gain trust from students.


To be considered for this teaching assistant post the successful applicant should:

  • Have a passion to help students achieve their full potential
  • Be adaptable and have the ability to build relationships with young learners
  • Preferably have experience of working with challenging young people and raising achievement
