Contract:         Permanent

Scale:               Grade D point 3 - 6 £24796 - £25989, full time equivalent which equates to £21442 - £22474 pro rata, pay award pending

Hours:              37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time + inset + one week during the holidays) (0.8647 FTE)

 

Severn Vale School is an Academy which provides an inclusive secondary education for students aged 11-16, that delivers strong student outcomes through high quality teaching and outstanding pastoral care.  The school is proud of its inclusive credentials and, in an area that has retained selection, subscribe instinctively to the comprehensive ideal. We are a popular and over-subscribed single academy trust with 1350 students on roll.

We require a Food and Textiles Technician, who will work within our Food and Art & Design Departments, providing practical and administrative support.  Our Food and Art & DT departments are friendly and cohesive, and you will work with our teachers and other support staff ‘going the extra mile’ to ensure that we provide the very best support for our staff and students.  

Ideally candidates will have experience in food preparation environments and working with sewing machines, however full training will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with high expectations, who has the ability to cope with periods of pressure and is able to prioritise their workload effectively.
