Qualified Learning Support Worker – SEND

 

Salary: Grade F  £20,043 - £22,571(Full-time equivalent), per annum, qualified

 

Term time only (39 weeks per year)

Up to 30 hours per week (hours and working pattern can be negotiated to suit)

We are seeking to recruit a qualified Learning Support Worker to work within our Inclusion Department.  The role is to support students with a variety of SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs. 

 

We are looking for a resilient individual who can make a difference and has the ability to gain trust from students, who can contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities and assist and support the work of qualified teachers.  You will enjoy the challenge of working with young people with SEMH needs and be able to support and reassure them to build their confidence.   By using positive behaviour management strategies, you will be able to help our students to develop self-regulation techniques and know when to implement them.

 

You should:

  • Have a level 3 NVQ in assisting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
  • Have a passion to help students achieve their full potential
  • Be adaptable and have the ability to build relationships with young learners
  • Preferably have experience of working with challenging young people
